She is sexy, ready, and she definitely knows it. One of ABS-CBN’s primetime princesses Melissa Ricks unravels her sultry side as she debuts on the cover of FHM Philippines’ September issue.

When she was starting out in showbiz as a Star Circle Quest alumna at the ripe age of 14, Melissa struggled for the spotlight. “Hindi nila ako masyadong napapansin, so sabi ko, darating din ang araw, papalakpakan din nila ako,” she tells FHM. “But it took a while, and a lot of patience, I almost gave up…pero sabi ko I have to take another risk, if it doesn’t work out, at least hindi ako magsisisi na wala akong ginawa,” says Melissa.

It is unmistakable how her career has reached greater heights. From playing pa-sweet roles like the best friend of the bida, a rich daughter, or a kikay, Star Magic gave Melissa the offbeat roles she had asked for–she was the wild child Elisa of Nasaan Ka Elisa and she is currently playing the role of the bratty spoiled girl Johanna of Walang Hanggan. “Mas gusto ko ako yung nag-ngungudngod, nagtataray, nang-aaway, nananampal. I think it brings more flavor to the show,” she says.

And just like how unstoppable Melissa is when it comes to her career, she also reveals to FHM how similar it is when it comes to her romantic relationships. “I’m like everybody else, pag mahal [mo], you just go with the flow…para hindi ka magsisi kung ano 'yung hindi mo nabigay [sa relationship], or hindi mo nagawa."
